Emergency Response Team

Preparing for an emergency can be difficult, especially when you don’t know what to expect. The Rock Emergency Response Team can help you get a handle on what you should do in the event of weather emergencies as well as natural disasters.

But do you know what to do if an emergency does occur?

What about what to do after the fact?

Emergencies can happen at any time, and it is best to be prepared before the emergency as well as be prepared for the aftermath. Rock Emergency provides an array of restorative services ranging from water damage restoration to temporary power restoration.

Whatever your need is, we take pride in our ability to provide professional services to Rochester, NY, and surrounding communities. Being a 24/7 Emergency Response company, we are available to take your call at any time with rapid response teams ready to go!

On The Go Emergency Storm Damage Response

Emergency Response Team for Rock Emergency

Rock Emergency has been providing emergency services for 10+ years to the Rochester community. All of our professionals have completed the 40-hour HAZWOPER training and are also IICRC certified.

But our emergency response team does not only serve Rochester, we also travel near and far to help with disaster situations. In the past, we have gone to the Carolina’s to help with the Hurricane Florence disaster, and more recently went to Louisiana to help with recovery relief after Hurricane Laura.

When we travel, we bring a large team that is ready for anything. Depending on the situation, we will bring high powered air movers, water extraction mats, air scrubbers, and more. More often than not, we are working with storm damage caused by the strong winds and flooding.

We don’t just deal with the water, we will also help secure your home and help prevent further storm damage caused by leaking roofs or blown-out windows. No matter how long it takes, we ensure that your home or business is restored!

Emergency Roof Tarping and Board-Ups

Emergency Response Team provides roof tarping

When those powerful storms roll through, bringing rain and damaging high winds, you never really know what to expect. While the Rochester area doesn’t quite get hurricane force winds, the area can get some pretty nasty wind storms.

2018 was a year for wind storms and a blizzard within a week of each other. In any event that causes damage to the roof or windows of your home or business, Rock Emergency is here to help!

Using those blue tarps that most people are familiar with, we can secure your roof and home until your roof can be repaired. Many times, the force of the winds can bring down trees and powerlines, causing damage to your home or business.

If needed, we can assist with tree removal in order to tarp your roof.

We also can provide shrink wrapping. Some people have never heard of this term, but it is a great way to protect your home from debris or additional storm damage. With shrink wrapping, we cut large pieces of plastic sheeting to cover the roof of your home.

We then use a heat gun to “shrink” the plastic wrapping to fit and provide excellent sealing of your home. While these are temporary fixes, they are secured and will help eliminate further damage to your home.

Emergency Pack-Out Services

Storms and other types of disasters can cause devastating damage to your home. Heavy storm damage and housefires are common situations that may require the emergency pack-out services we provide. During this time, we will pack up your belongings that have not been heavily damaged.

For example, if there was a house fire that affected the kitchen, we will pack up un-damaged items from the kitchen and closest rooms. In some cases when items are smoke damaged, we can pack them up as well and provide restoration services to them.

All of your items are brought to our facility and securely stored. Any items we are able to clean and restore, we make sure they are taken care of by our certified professionals. Once your home has been restored, we will bring your items back to you.

Restoration Services for Water and Mold Damage

After a storm that brings torrential rains or a hurricane that brings flooding, it is imperative to begin the restoration process. Starting with removing the water and getting the area dry is the most important. It doesn’t take long for the water to start causing more damage than just getting items wet.

Depending on the amount of water there is, after only a few hours interior walls can begin to crumble, and metal items will begin to rust. Not to mention the odor that comes along with standing water, especially if it is dirty water (flood water).

A few days after the initial water event, mold and bacteria will begin ravaging anything in its path. At this point, the home or building can become hazardous not only because of the mold/bacteria but also because the integrity of the structure becomes compromised.

With the resources available to Rock Emergency, we are able to take action before things get worse. Using water pumps, we are able to extract water (pump-out water) that will allow us to begin drying out the space so we can start the restoration process.

For areas with smaller amounts of water, we have suction mats that are strategically placed to pull water out from underneath floorboards and vinyl flooring.

When water is removed, we are able to test for moisture, we want to be sure everything is dry otherwise there is a further risk of mold damage.

In addition to the moisture meters, water pumps, and suction mats, we also have professional-grade air scrubbers and the SteraMist BIT system that we can use to disinfect the area and air.

Emergency Power, Heat & AC
