MEET OUR OSHA OFFICER – DAN RABOLVSKY

Dan Rabolvsky OSHA Officer

In an industry like ours, health and safety is a top priority. At Rock Emergency, the man responsible for minimizing our health and safety risks and ensuring that our technicians have optimal training to deal with workplace hazards is Daniel F. Rabolvsky Jr. With more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, Dan is a valuable asset to our team and in this article, you’ll get to learn a bit about him.

While he was working on a few seasonal jobs, Dan met some people in the construction industry, which motivated him to take a few courses to learn more.  He subsequently became an Organizational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) trainer. He then went on to travel across the country, working on construction projects in California, Texas, and other locations, where he had great exposure to how different people do things in the industry.

Dan is mainly responsible for training new technicians. He has completed OSHA 500 training, which makes him an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer. To get OSHA 500 certification, he had to take an 80-hour training course (renewed every 4 years) to learn the most-effective methods to teach safety on the job site. We use a few different techniques to train our new technicians. In the classroom, we use handouts, brochures, movies, and the real-life experiences of our veteran employees. We also provide hands-on/practical training. Dan is always looking for ways to expand his knowledge. He often takes refresher courses like OSHA 510, OSHA 10-Hour, 30 Hour & 40 Hour HAZWOPER Construction Safety & Health Training, and he taps the expertise of his vast network of professionals across the country.

Even though this job can get pretty busy, Dan always makes sure to carve out some time to spend with his family. As the father of an 11-month-old daughter, Liliana, Dan enjoys taking his family on outings. He tries to be active every weekend, enjoying outdoor, adrenaline-pumping activities like riding ATVs and snowmobiles. He credits his grandfather for motivating him and inspiring the direction of his life. Dan didn’t have his dad growing up. His grandfather closely filled that gap and helped Dan develop his deeply held values of honesty, integrity, and good character.

When it comes to anything OSHA or training-related at Rock Emergency, Dan is the one to call. He is a big part of our team and he is looking forward to helping our company grow and expand into some new New York markets. If you have a question you’d like to ask Dan, he can be reached at 844-ROCK-911 or 585-413-1566.
